Trista Long - Owner

CF-L3, CF Gymnastics,
CF Anatomy,  CF Trauma Informed & Athlete Centered Training, GGS Certified Women's Specialist & Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach, USA Weightlifting Level 1 coach

In 2014, Trista seized the opportunity to take ownership of the CrossFit affiliate she had been a dedicated member of for two years. Embracing the challenge, she transformed the affiliate, instilling core values and fostering a sense of community through established box etiquette. The journey began in the vault of an old bank, evolved into a larger space within the building, and eventually found a home in the White Township Recreational Complex. Here, members enjoy access to an indoor turf for sled workouts and a secure outdoor space for running.

Devoting herself to continuous education, Trista obtained her Level 3 CrossFit Certification, solidifying her commitment to being a valuable resource for her athletes. She reinvested time and resources back into the gym, ensuring the community had access to the best and latest functional fitness equipment.

The fruits of her labor have manifested in multiple ways, with athletes achieving their health and fitness goals. Notably, two competitive athletes reached the CrossFit Games, finishing 8th in the world in their respective divisions in 2021 and 2022. In 2023, adaptive athlete Jasmine secured 4th place worldwide and claimed the title of the fittest in her division in the USA.

Trista's journey towards empowering others began before CrossFit when she was a Zumba Instructor, blending her dance background with her passion for fitness. However, it was CrossFit that truly resonated with her, creating lasting connections within her affiliate and witnessing the transformative connections athletes forged with each other. From the elation of mastering a new skill to the jubilation of hitting personal records, CrossFit, for Trista, is a catalyst for confidence, and she considers herself fortunate to witness this transformation daily.

In 2023, Trista received the Young Athena award, an honor she graciously accepted with gratitude. Reflecting on her personal growth, she acknowledged the challenging years she endured, emphasizing her commitment to mental health and vulnerability as tools for learning and growth. A nine-year journey as a business owner has been both challenging and rewarding, and Trista is beaming with gratitude for the opportunity to help and serve others.

Clint McCracken

My CrossFit journey started in 2011. I had been regularly going to the gym and doing my own workouts, but decided to try CrossFit to see what it was all about. After my first class I was immediately hooked. The group training aspect was very encouraging and created a fun atmosphere. Training with other like-minded people towards my fitness goals was something I never knew I needed.
I started coaching CrossFit classes in 2013. Being a coach has been a very rewarding
experience for me. I have seen so many athletes flourish both inside and outside of the gym. My biggest goal as a coach is to help people realize their full potential and capabilities. Working with others to help them lead a healthy and active lifestyle is something that I take pride in.

I started CrossFit in 2016 because I was searching for something more rewarding and unique; what I found changed my life.
The constantly varied methodology in both movements and domains keeps everything fresh and has produced exceptional results for me. After taking such an interest in learning technique and efficiency, I wanted to start sharing that with others & took an interest in instructing. The part I didn't expect was to find coaching and cueing more rewarding than my own personal accomplishments.

Chase Sutphin
CF-L1, CPT, CES, PES, CNC

Chase started CrossFit as part of the Veterans Recovery and Resiliency program with Mission 22. Encouraged by his wife, he joined despite initial hesitations about injuries. The supportive community made his first day challenging but enjoyable.

He began coaching in August 2023, six months after starting CrossFit, motivated by a desire to improve his form and understanding of the sport. Encouraged by his gym owner, he transitioned to coaching to share his knowledge.

Chase's coaching philosophy is personalized, focusing on individual motivation styles and celebrating all achievements. A memorable coaching moment was helping a member overcome her fear of box jumps by building her confidence through incremental steps.

His goal as a personal trainer is to help people overcome mental barriers and achieve physical milestones. He holds certifications in Personal Training, Corrective Exercise, and Performance Enhancement, and a Certified Nutrition Coach.

Chase views the CrossFit community as a supportive network that drives individual and collective success. He advises newcomers to focus on form, be patient, and listen to their bodies and coaches, emphasizing that proper form leads to faster progress and prevents injuries.

One significant personal achievement was improving his squat stance, overcoming knee pain, and increasing his back squat 1RM by being open to feedback and focusing on proper technique.
